Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan chaired a review meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium to assess the progress of various ongoing construction projects across the district. The review covered building construction works undertaken by different departments, boundary walls, temple beautification projects, stadium development works, and other infrastructure initiatives.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate directed all executing agencies to ensure that construction projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. Emphasizing the importance of quality, she stated that no compromise should be made in construction standards under any circumstances.
She instructed officials to identify projects that have been delayed due to a shortage of funds and take immediate steps to secure the required budget so that work can resume and be completed without further delay. Stressing accountability, she said that prolonged delays in project completion result in financial losses to the government and deprive the public of essential facilities.
The District Magistrate also reviewed projects that are nearing completion but remain unfinished due to minor deficiencies. She directed concerned agencies to address such shortcomings on priority and ensure that completed projects are promptly handed over to the respective departments for public use.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment to timely infrastructure development, Priyanka Niranjan urged all departments and implementing agencies to maintain close coordination and regularly monitor progress to avoid unnecessary delays.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad, District Statistics Officer N.K. Singh, Executive Engineer (Provincial Division) Pramod Tripathi, officials from the Rural Engineering Department, Assistant Tourism Information Officer Vandana Pandey, representatives from the Horticulture Department, Basic Education Department, ITI, and officers of various construction agencies, along with other district-level officials.
The review meeting underscored the district administration’s focus on ensuring quality infrastructure development, efficient utilization of public funds, and the timely completion of projects aimed at improving civic amenities and public services across Gonda district.
